For some reason, every time I’m inspired to write again, summer is always the time of year that inspires me the most. It’s strange, because summer is my least favorite season. I hate hot weather and humidity, which can be brutal here in northern NJ. Summer, however, is also the time when I’m the most active. I’m sure that’s is the case for a lot of other people, too. Since my favorite topic to write about is working out, I guess it makes sense that I feel more motivated to write about it in the summer. After, I am always more motivated to work out in the summer.
So here I am again. This time, I’m more determined than ever to make this work. I always talk about how much I love to write. Now is finally the time to see where this passion can take me.
I’m planning on writing more detailed posts about all of the below within the next couple of weeks, but here are a few updates on what I’ve been up to lately:
- I’ve cut back a little bit on my Crossfit classes. For the past two months or so, I’ve been focusing on just doing whatever workout I feel like doing on a given day. It’s been better than forcing myself to do a WOD that I hate.
- I went to a weightlifting seminar in the spring. I hit a back squat PR of 170lbs! It was such an awesome experience.
- I didn’t win the RP nutrition challenge at my gym that I wrote about in one of my last posts. However, I lost 10lbs and almost 7 total inches from my chest, waist, and hips. I still sometimes struggle a bit with my body image, but for the most part, I’ve been feeling confident in myself lately. I’m still gathering the courage to share my before and after pictures here. I might or might not share them in the future.
I guess that’s pretty much it, actually. Obviously I do have more going on in my life, but those are the most relevant points I wanted to bring up for now. I’m already hard at work putting together some content for the next several weeks, so please stay tuned!
